This is probably the #1 question we get.
 
In British Columbia, your minimum down payment depends on the purchase price:



5% on the first $500,000

 

10% on the portion between $500,000 and $1,500,000

 

20% for homes $1,500,000+

 
Investment property 20% minimum


In communities like Abbotsford, Langley, and Chilliwack, understanding price bands makes a big difference in planning.
 
What Many Buyers Forget
 
Your down payment isn’t your only cost. You should also budget for:
